Winter Steelhead On Glass

Recently Randall Clark took his GoPro along on a typically rainy day to a Oregon coastal river and connected with a couple winter steelhead on his Lamiglas fiberglass eight weight.  Looks like fun.

It should be noted that the Lamiglas fly rod was built by Vladan Milenkovic of the Fly Fisherman's Cafe and is the same rod builder that did my Steffen 8' 8/9 weight with such excellence.  Vlad knows how to build big sticks.

It was a great day to be out...raining, not another soul in sight, cold, soaked...just happened to land a couple of fish as a bonus.
