Ten Miles And Dry Fly Cutthroat

I am going to keep the words on this post short other than to say that a ten or so mile hike into the backcountry and back is totally worth it when you can find painted and peppered cutthroat that will rise lazily to your big gaudy dry flies all day long.

For the fly gear geeks that read this, the Leiderman Rods built Kabuto Rods 7643 matched with Kineya fly reel and Scientific Anglers Textured Trout Stalker four weight fly line may be dry fly perfection.

Our trip into "River X" was so good we may hike back in later in the week.

That's one of my favorite streams in the state. Good stuff, I love the blog. If you want to waste a few minutes of your life I have a little Montana fly fishing blog. It's over at http://bumtrout.blogspot.com/

Without a doubt, one of my favorite places in the world. Glad you got up there. Perfect stream for a glass rod, too. The other side of the wilderness is a longer hike, but just as sweet!

Alessandro...that is a Kabuto Rods blank. It's the 7643 and it's just wonderful.
