One of the exciting aspects of writing this website for the past half dozen years is that there continues to be innovation and talented designers are making their fiberglass fly rod blank offerings available to custom and hobby builders.
Akihiko Kawasaki of Alchemy Tackle has recently offered his "Alchemy Dharma Parabolic" four piece 7'5" four weight blanks and the early feedback from a handful of notable builders is that this is a very excellent blank in quality and taper.
These uni-directional E-Glass blanks are rolled in Japan and only available in translucent white. The taper is described as medium slow and parabolic in nature.
The images below show the bending curve under 4.4 ounces and 8.8 ounces of weight.
