Finn and I couldn't let an 80 degree evening go to waste and we were out on the family pond minutes after arriving home for a couple hours in the kayak.
We shared one fly rod and Finn worked on his casting a bit while I paddled us around. We found a couple small bass that devoured a small bright baitfish fly and we were home for dinner before dark. Not a bad way to spend a Monday after work.
Going through the images from last night I realized two things. First, Finn is growing up way to fast and he's looking more like a little man than a little boy I thought we had living in our house and second, the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G DX is a fun lens and takes a pretty sharp image.

ReplyDeleteNothing like taking your boy fishing. After a couple years of the Snoopy rod I'm putting an Eagle Claw Featherweight 5wt in my 4-year old boy's hands as soon as we get some decent weather.
