10 Faces Of Finn

Finn and I couldn't let an 80 degree evening go to waste and we were out on the family pond minutes after arriving home for a couple hours in the kayak.

We shared one fly rod and Finn worked on his casting a bit while I paddled us around.  We found a couple small bass that devoured a small bright baitfish fly and we were home for dinner before dark.  Not a bad way to spend a Monday after work.

Going through the images from last night I realized two things.  First, Finn is growing up way to fast and he's looking more like a little man than a little boy I thought we had living in our house and second, the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G DX is a fun lens and takes a pretty sharp image.

  1. Killer! Need to finally get on Murray and let him stretch a line on some sweetwater stripers.

  2. They grow up WAY too fast, glad you guys got out there. Those shots look great, really liking the look of the 35 1.8 output; I may have to seriously look into getting one.

  3. Outstanding work.

Nothing like taking your boy fishing. After a couple years of the Snoopy rod I'm putting an Eagle Claw Featherweight 5wt in my 4-year old boy's hands as soon as we get some decent weather.

  4. Is Finn another south paw like myself or learning to reel proper? Keep fishing with him as much as you can, soon he'll discover girls and fishing will take the back seat for a while.
