I know that this contest post is a couple days late but I figured everyone would like something to do on their first day back at the office on a Monday morning.
For October, T.F.M. has linked up again with Recycled Waders. If you don't know, Recycled Waders re purposes worn out waders into really excellent gear bags of several sorts. The Nook Sack and the Messenger Creel are two T.F.M. favorites.
So...to play along in this month's giveaway please answer the following question...
"What are your new ideas for recycling and what do you do to be a good steward of the waters you fish?"
The random winner of this month's contest will receive a Recycled Waders Messenger Creel.

This idea of recycling waders is so simple yet broad reaching. This is likely the biggest area for recycling in the fly fishing community, at least that I can see.
Perhaps something could be done with fly line. Not exactly sure what, weave something with it. But the waders; still the best.
My personal efforts have been more in the area of keeping it clean; not leaving trash and picking up what I can when I'm on the water. That could be a full time job in and of itself. We picked up a huge load of garbage below the dam at Lake Texoma a few years back. Felt good to get that done. However it did not take long to fill 'er up again trash-wise :-(
