I spent an hour or so this morning gathering up essential fly gear, making sure all the fly rods "needed" fit in the travel tube, and checking reels and fly lines to ensure everything matched up. So far so good.
Would you believe that nine fly rods, in weights three through six, carefully fit into the fly rod tube? I am impressed. Seven fly reels are along for the trip as well with a mix of old school J.W. Young's, Hardy Lightweight's, and a new school LOOP Opti too.
Tonight I'll work on clothing with the mindset of dressing in layers. Looks like the weather will be a fall mix of sun and rain with temperatures in the 50's during the day and 30's at night. I also need to charge up all the camera batteries, wipe the media cards clean, and lastly, determine if I can fit everything in one large duffel bag or if it's better to take two suitcases and get dinged twice by the airline for luggage fees.
It's going to be a couple of busy days of burning the candle at both ends until I leave on Sunday morning with making sure trip prep, work, and home are all straight. I'll try to keep T.F.M. updated too.

Looking forward to it Cam! Make sure you put a little graphite in that rod tube! HA!
Joel...there is a little bit of graphite with the 9' Hardy Lightweight five weight which is a glass/graphite mix.
We have worst things to deal with on this trip than fiberglass. Remember Mike's tofu? HA...
I almost forgot about the tofu. Can't help him out at all in that department...he is entering meat eatin country you know! Do they make tofu beer? Wouldn't want him to be dry on a guys trip...
