T.F.M. was a uncharacteristically silent over the last few days since Mrs. Manifesto and I spent the weekend with friends in Charleston to attend the Food & Wine Festival and enjoy some time away together. It's not often that we leave the children behind but it is certainly needed every now and then.
We quickly fell back into our old habits and spent Saturday and Sunday fully enjoying the phenomenal city that Charleston is with cafes, shops, and endless streets filled with history to explore.
It's nice to remember what it is like to be husband and wife and let time stand still for a bit.

That has to be one of my favorite places. Did you ever do a tour of the customs building where you can go down into the dungeons? It's really interesting. There's so much history there. The seafood is awesome and if you can make it to Folly Beach it's great too.
Love Charleston man- I'm heading down that way sometime in the next year to see a long list of family and old friends. May have to hit the salt. Rod shopping will be a must. ; )
You lucky dogs. It's also called The Foodie City.
I see The Cathedral of St.John the Baptist at 120 Broad in the distance, two doors down from our daughter's carriage house rental.
The Cathedral's boomin' bells on Sunday morning rocked us out of bed during our last visit.
Kevin...we are fortunate to only live about 90 minutes away from the Charleston area and visit often. It is one of our favorite getaways.
FR...great city no doubt. Let me know when you're headed this way and maybe we can go look for some redfish together.
middlemac...I figured we were close by her house. If she was home I'm sure she would not have minded us calling/texting at 0700 asking for coffee! HA...
