The Circle Spey Reel

Tim Pantzlaff of The Spey Company has released a new four inch fly reel to his line up of spey and trout reels and has called it The Circle Spey.

Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR.

Tim writes this regarding The Circle Spey...

"Like all The Spey Company reels, I first looked to the anglers to gather ideas about what direction they would like the reel company to go. Here was the out come; an affordable, simple, two piece, fully machined, light weight work horse. There are no bearings in this model, just Teflon Impregnated Hard Coat III on 17-4 PH stainless steel. Simple, durable, effective.

Featuring the new six point HEXAD Checking Option, the drag is something that will need to be felt and heard to truly appreciate. Just all purr. 84, 112, 140, and 168 clicks per revolution with a very low smooth start up yet stout outgoing click. With the load dispersed in this way over many clickers instead of on one pawl, the start up is almost on the ready. The possibilities are almost endless with the different drag configurations available to the angler."

The Circle Spey is available in two finish choices and priced at a very reasonable price of $375.00.  All T.S.C. fly reels are made in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
