I've been remiss for not getting this up sooner but Sarah Lonigro and Kirk Werner, of Olive The Little Woolly Bugger and Unaccomplished Angler fame, have launched a new website called Take Kids Fly Fishing and with it started a coloring contest to give away some excellent gear to the young anglers that participate.
To enter the coloring contest download the coloring book page and then follow the directions to submit your child's entry. The deadline for this contest is midnight on June 30th.
Admittedly Kevin and I have not had the time necessary to keep Fishy Kid up to date and it's really inspiring to see the Take Kids Fly Fishing website focus on the next generation and provide resources for them to grow as an angler and steward of the waters we all share. I can't think of a better guy to be involved in such of an endeavor than Kirk Werner.
