T.F.M. Spotting - Opening Day

Last weekend was opening day for trout season in New Jersey and Rob Yaskovic and his friends had a excellent time together catching a few fish to start the season off right.

Robert got snapped holding his first trout of the year, which was caught on vintage fiberglass, while sporting his t-shirt for the T.F.M. Spotting Photo Contest.

Robert wrote... "Here are some pics from opening day here in New Jersey.  Myself, Eric Hornung, Stephan Hornung and Sean Allen all met super early at Eric's house right next to the Paulinskill River in Stillwater, New Jersey and headed out to the spot the Hornung Boys knew would have fish.  The rivers here are super low and the deep runs were where they would be.  Everyone picked a spot, except me as I was taking photos and waited till eightish as that is the rule for opening day.  Why?  I don't know.  It allows the spinning crew more time to sleep in I guess.  It was instant and consistent. Weighted egg patterns worked all morning.  I left a few hours later and missed Eric hooking up with a great big guy.  It was great fishing with like minded people who after hooking one moved aside and let the next guy work the spot.  Best opening day I've ever had.  All photos taken on the iPhone."

To check out more of Robert's iPhone photography check out a T.F.M. post from last fall on his iPhoneography methods and apps he uses to create interesting images.
