First Push Teaser And Orvis

There are a couple things interesting about this video trailer.  First, the film and edit work of John Arnold, a.k.a. "scumliner", is really tight.  I like his style and this film should be really excellent in the end.  I have some inside information that a certain fiberglass fly rod makes the scene at some point and I'll be looking forward to future teasers from this project.  Check out the Headhunters Blog for more information on this project in the works.
Secondly, keep an eye on Orvis.  Wisely, Tom Chandler of The Trout Underground has been telling us this for a couple years now and I'm starting to really see it.  Over the past year or so the company has taken on refreshed branding, put a real focus on their online presence in their social media, blog, and podcast, and are adding quite a few new and well thought out products which should be released between now and the end of the year.

In my mind Orvis has always been a traditional brand but I see an energized young guard giving the company a new look and perspective.  It's neat to see a company reinvent itself and seeding up and coming filmmakers is a really smart move to help get their message out.
