I first met Dylan Rothwell, the mastermind behind Rising Fish, a couple years ago at IFTD. He took the time to go over some of the favorites from his line up and casually mentioned that he wanted to get to the point of making almost everything in the U.S.A.
Fast forward to this year's IFTD and Dylan explained that Rising Fish had moved into a new facility, was investing in a lot of new equipment, and taking the fast forward steps to making as much of their gear in Utah as possible. Would they make more money continuing to import? Yes. Would they feel good about it? No. How many companies would do that? Very few.
I am stoked about today's prizes. The Flask Pack is a well designed minimalist piece of gear where nearly every inch has a well thought out function. Add to that a mix of tools, including a leashed Special Blend (FIBERGLASS) Lippa4Life and all you'll need to do is add a few spools of tippet, maybe some Gink, and a fly box before hitting the water.

Dude I think I finally understand what my wife is saying when she says she "needs" a bag! That thing looks perfect for me. I hate carrying a lot of stuff (ALWAYS at the expense of not having the "right" pieces be damned).
