Christian's 7'9" 4/5 Weight Prototype

Not satisfied with just building fly rods from other manufacturers blanks, Christian Hörgren has been working on a side project that is finally to the point where he's giving us a glimpse into the process.  Genius work and his style is unmistakeable.

Christian wrote...  "Here are some recent pics of the prototype I have been working on for a while. The appointments and colors are finally there.

It's a 7'9'' 4/5 weight progressive taper.  Brass reel seat is made by a friend here in Sweden, but designed and blued by myself.  Pac Bay snake guides, Elephant and Pearsall silk, with two rounds of TM Lite.

I'm showing this rod at a small fly fishing fair here in Sweden.  I'm very excited to hear peoples opinion on it.  I'm quite happy so far.

I will order a bunch of these blanks and build up a few for sale here during the winter. I might also have some blanks for sale.  Stay tuned."

Look for several other of Christian's recent builds coming up on T.F.M. in the next week or so.  He's certainly making the best use of these winter months in Sweden.
