The Fly Rod Company Kenney Build

The Fly Rod Company is a recent addition to the ever growing T.F.M. Rod Shops page and I have a few recent fiberglass builds to share that John Patrick Rivera has done at his Rodeo, California shop.

The first build that John passed along was done on a eight foot nine weight prototype blank that was produced by Larry Kenney.  This build was done for a client in Oahu, Hawaii to target the salt species that swim around the islands.  Excellent work and the bluish green wrap color compliments the muted color of the Kenney blank.

Check out The Fly Rod Company website for more information and follow along on their Facebook page too.

I'm not one for composite cork, aside from that. I do like the guides and the classic style thread work. Very 60sish.
