The T.F.M. Fly Rod Loan Program grows yet again with the arrival of the Xander Fly Rods built Kabuto Rods 7033 that arrived last week. I am excited about this for a couple of reasons since the Kabuto Rods 7033 that I already have has been in constant demo rotation going from person to person for the last several years. It will also be great to have an example of Paul Sas's excellent craftsmanship for potential customers to examine before making an order.
Paul sent along a few photographs of this build once it was complete and after opening the package and giving this fly rod a once over, I can verify that this build looks even more beautiful in hand. Fine work, Paul.
Paul wrote... "I selected the best quality cork for both grip and the reel seat insert. The reel seat ferrule is nickel silver from REC. I also used a Pac Bay low profile stripping guide, Pac Bay snake guides, and wrapped this fly rod with gold silk with black tipping that was finished with two part epoxy."
