The Birth Of A Drift Boat - Part 2

The Croff Craft Custom Drift Boats builds continues and it is slowly taking shape from a stack of wood in last week's post to quite a bit more in this set of photographs that Phil Croff provided for this update.

During this stage of the build the bottom of the drift boat has been built and the front and back are cut to the desired shape.  The front stem is also in place.

Next the cedar panels are built and then glassed on both sides before they are then wrapped around the bottom.  The walls are installed and everything is put together with epoxy along with fiberglass where needed.  Epoxy in a build is essential for keeping moisture at bay.

Visit the Croff Craft website for more information on these beautiful and river worthy drift boats.
