The Birth Of A Drift Boat - Part 9

This phase of the Croff Craft Custom Drift Boat build is all about masking and spraying and essentially putting an armor over the glassed cedar.  This makes for an interior that lasts and can take the abuse of life on the water.

Phil wrote...  "In this series of photos, the boat is getting masked off to get ready to spray the polyurethane coating.  This coating is a very important step to our boats.  The elongation properties of this material are as important as the tear and impact properties, and we also mix Kevlar into the material.  This coating is sprayed on over the fiberglassed cedar and is extremely abrasion and impact resistant.  River boats take a beating, and at Croff Craft we excel in building them to withstand their river environment."

Visit the Croff Craft website for more information on these beautiful and river worthy drift boats.
