6 Cool Things To Read

I am up in the air right now making three hops on my way to Montana for a few days of fly fishing and wanted to pass along a sixer of excellent reads for your day at the office or evening in leisure.

FILSON X THE BOREALIST
Peetso from The Borealist was featured on the Filson Life blog recently and takes readers on a cutthroat adventure in the Canadian Rockies.  I want to get lost here.

BECCA SCHLAFF - ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
Michigan artist Becca Schlaff recently spent two weeks at Gates Au Sable Lodge outside of Grayling as "Artist In Residence" and posted dozens of images on her Instagram page that are very much worth checking out whether you have the app on your phone or not.

MOUTHFUL OF FEATHERS
We are easing into fall and with it the Mouthful of Feathers blog is picking up with all the contributors of the website posting content that is unique and always a solid read.

DIE FISCHE - INTO THE GORGE
The Gunnison Canyon has been on my short list for years and a few weeks back Eric Feldkamp make the hike in for a multi day float and posted up a mess of photos and narrative.  I still laugh that he hucked in copious amounts of wine to share around the campfire.  What a good camp mate.

FIRE GIRL PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG
When Jess McGlothlin isn't working for Orvis or completing writing or photography assignments for various publications, she's updating her blog with images and updates on what she's up to.  This is always a fun read with excellent imagery.   This is a girl with a motor.  Her Instagram feed is worth a follow too.

ALEX LANDEEN - MOUNTAIN CAMPANATOMY
There are few people that can capture trip moments like Alex can.  He also does a lot with his dad and it never looks like anyone goes hungry or stays thirsty.  Start with his recent camping trip and work backwards through his blog.

Enjoy.
