#fixedlensrevolution

When I made my fly fishing resolutions for the this year I really hadn't thought of any sort of hashtag to go along with it.  #glassisnotdead continues to be used by glass geeks all over the world, which is very cool to see, and I've felt a little bad about #yearofthebluegill because it more or less had an expiration date on it.  It's still used every now and then but the "year of" more or less dated it.  Hashtag lesson learned...

Yesterday I posted an image of my Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX lens that arrived in the mail and Joel LaMarco, who's also playing along with this prime lens idea, used the hashtag #fixedlensrevolution on the Instagram post.  I like that and hopefully a few others will tag their photographs with it so we can all follow along.

I'll likely put up posts from time to time with tagged images much like I do with the "This Week In #glassisnotdead".  There is a lot of talent on Instagram, from hack amateur to pro, and it will be cool to see the fly fishing images that everyone is making with fixed lens of all sorts.

So, if you're so inclined, #fixedlensrevolution.  I'm on it.

Seems like a great excuse to put some frames on my 50mm f/1.4 that's been collecting dust since I foolishly bought the 17-55mm f/2.8 at the same time.... I'm in.

Travis...please plan on it.

The Good Doctor..."Damn you, Mortenson"? There is a solution to this. Pack up all those primes and send them my way. HA...

Cam,
My father may take issue with me sending his old 400mm down the river, but I accept your prime challenge!
