We are having a slow start to our fifth morning on Beaver Island with Indigo Guide Service and Grab Your Fly Charters and it's given me some time to work through some photographs, get caught up on emails, and type out some notes on the trip so far.
The first three days were warm and full of sun and then yesterday the lights went out and it cooled down. We've found carp each day without to much problem and everyone has had some really phenomenal turn and chase eats.
Lake Michigan is up considerably higher and the carp are pushing up in the grass around the islands which has made for some interesting presentations.
Here's a few images from the first few days. Click any of the images to view in a larger format.
Well, we're looking at a noon start to give time for the weather to turn around and the lights to go on. Two more days on the water and we're all looking forward to a few more shots and hopefully a few more eats.
