6 Good Reads

Between evenings on my iPad, killing time at airports, and a few minutes here and there at work, here's six good reads I came across lately for your Wednesday.  Enjoy.

BAETIS & STONES VISIT LELAND RANCH
Tyler from Baetis & Stones stops in at the Leland Ranch Fly Shop and of course can't keep his hands off the glass.  Great narrative and photo essay from the visit.

FIELD & STREAM BREAKS DOWN FLIES YOU NEED
Everyone has their go to flies and F&S breaks down what they think are the greatest of all time.

FLOODPLAINS - MANDATORY READING LIST
A relatively new website that you should add to your reading list.  Fine work that comes from a bit outside the box of many of the other fly fishing blogs.  Start at the top and work your way down.

FLYMEN BLOG - FRANZEN HOPES YOU STAY HOME
Chris Franzen busts in on the Flymen Blog and gives you five good excuses to opt inside when the weather gets kind of crappy.  I still say it's worth trying.

OM.CO - BACKROOM FACES OF FILSON
I'm a big Filson geek and it's cool to see behind the curtain on who and how gear gets made.

OUTSIDE - MAD TOASTER LOVE
We have a 2004 Honda Element with over 260,000 miles on it and it just keeps ticking.  This photo set from Carl Zoch of his "Toaster" adventuring has me itching to toss the fly rods and gear bags in ours and take off someplace.

What are you reading this week?
