I mentioned it the other day as part of the T.F.M. Holiday Gift Guide, but if you're scratching your head on what to get someone on your list, consider the gift of a fiberglass fly rod. There are an unbelievable list of choices now from small shop fly rod builders to just about every fly rod company having excellent offerings as well. It's been said, but should be said again, that there is just no better time to be a fiberglass flyrodder than right now.
You can certainly pick up a fly rod off the rack or order online but if you're looking for something special and unique, then a gift certificate to cover part or all of a custom fly rod build should be considered.

Cam, How about a reel recommendation for a 3 weight fiberglass rod. That won't break the bank.
