Adam Tsaloff invited a group of close friends, including James Deloria, to Frenchman's Pond for one last group trip to enjoy the splendor of the late Michigan summer. James came back with a stack of photographs including a neat T.F.M. Spotting contest photo to share.
Adam and James are representing T.F.M. in style in a canoe that James custom painted to look like a large rainbow trout. Frenchman's Pond may never have seen such stunning canoe!
James wrote... "Recently spent a long weekend up at "Frenchman's" Pond with four other trout bums, the youngest of whom was a spry forty-seven years young. We shared some good stories, some good fishing for Mr. T's "little darlings", heard wolves calling to one another from our east to our west under a full moon and ate like kings."

"One of our conversations involved the proprietor of this website, Mr. Mortenson. This a fellow that none of us have met personally, yet feel we know him, even feel as though we've fished with him. We realized that the only difference between he and us, when we were young whippersnappers, is the availability of this whole inter-wide-webs deal. When we wanted to connect with fellows that shared our passion for tossing bits of fluff at magical beasts we had to rely on our dads and their buddies. (Of course, some few of us had an in with the angling elite--Adam had 'em!)
Don't even really know yet if Cam will make a good fishing partner but will probably give him a chance sooner or later. What makes for a good match is as mysterious as why we all have different choices of favorite tackle.
But the consensus in this group of old curmudgeons was that our hats were off to a young feller who has the passion for our shared pursuit enough to put as much into this world-wide web log as he does."
James...I appreciate the kind words and I sincerely hope to make it up to Michigan for a few days next summer to tag along on a trip to Frenchman's Pond.
