Recycled Waders Gear Giveaway Winner!

Last month T.F.M. linked up with Recycled Waders and asked for new ideas in recycling and what each person does to be a good steward while fly fishing.  I received several dozen emails over the course of the month which were full of good ideas and ways each are taking care of the waters they fish.

The random number generator has spoken and Christian Fichtel is the winner of a Recycled Waders Messenger Creel.  Christian's email contained an interesting idea on how to "recycle" gear that each of us are no longer using which I thought I'd share.

Christian wrote...  "An idea that I've tossed around for a while is to have some sort of gear exchange/co-op.  Instead of tossing old gear into the backs of closets or letting it wither away in the bottom of boat boxes, I'd like to see a forum where old gear could be donated to newer/financially-challenged anglers.  I'm sure you would agree that some of the gear we no longer use is still functionally sound, it just isn't the newest or the best, and so we don't use it anymore.  I think there are a lot of people who are frightened away from fly fishing due to the perception of extreme expense, which, while possible, need not be necessary to fully enjoy the affliction.

Congrats to Christian and thanks again to Recycled Waders for sponsoring this gear giveaway.  Also, I want to thank each of you that took the time to send along an email for the gear giveaway.
