T.F.M. Spotting - A Town Called Cameron

Alex Landeen of Fat Guy Fly Fishing just may have figured out a way to score extra credit points with his most excellent T.F.M. Spotting Photo Contest submission.

Alex wrote...  "It was some place between here and there. Just like every other little falling-down place that passes in the blink of an eye. Just like every other little strange road-sideshow filled with interesting people that you will never know; like everywhere else in the world that you are not.

It was like that, but this one little strange falling-down place, between the red rocks and weeds, next to the rusting train bridge and under the heavy gray sky which held significance for me. It was important for two reasons: It was between where I was and where I was going, and it was named after the man who had given me the shirt that I was wearing; goods of fabric and vinyl which had been passed along under the sodium-vapor lit parking lot behind a bar in Michigan just days prior.

And so it was just that. A place between here and there; between my couch and cold water; between ancient red-faced rock and my silly neighbor who tends his flowers in pajamas; between real life and living, fish and no fish.

Lees Ferry is full of silver spirits and watery magic and I have to drive through Cameron to get there. T.F.M. Spotting?  I think so.

-Alex who wore his shirt to write these words"

Awesome.

While fly fishing and hijinks rule on the Fat Guy Fly Fishing website, check out more of Alex's most excellent images on the Landeen Photography website.
