La Ranita "Little Frog" Popper

I've been meaning to get a post up about a relatively new fly tying website called Fly Fish Food.  In short, the website founders, Clark Pierce and Curtis Fry, are killing it with a mix of instructional tying videos, reviews, and active social media pages as well.

Fly Fish Food is playing along with the Year of the Bluegill and recently posted this great looking fly called La Ranita or the Little Frog Popper.  I could see a dozen of these in a couple of sizes making their way into one of my fly boxes before spring.

Check out Fly Fish Food for more tutorials like this. Follow along on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram too.
