All great tips. I'll add a couple more. Try to hire a guide from outside of the resort and over-tip. Amazing how good the fishing gets the next day. And he is an independent business man. Bring fishing gear and fishing shirts for end of trip tips. these can be very costly for the guides. Leave whatever you have left for tippet, you're sure to get a good smile.
Don't forget to tip the housekeeper daily. I guess I learned to tip after having lived off them when I was a cabbie and bartender.
