Quite a few years ago when I first started fly fishing, and used to hang out in several different fly shops when banging around northern Michigan in my $100 Ford Escort, I remember putting hands on and admiring the Abel gear and travel bags. I was just a poor college student without much cash in my pocket to buy anything but a few flies to use that evening on the river but I recognized the quality of these bags and hoped to own one someday.
This past weekend found the Steve Abel Quality Gear website and was excited to see that he is again offering quite a few different gear and travel bags that are Made in the U.S.A., constructed of durable materials, and priced well within reason. It's not like I need another gear bag but the Standard Kit Bag or the Holds Everything Bag might have to be ordered at some point if for no other reason than I've always wanted one and now have at least a couple dollars in my pocket at any given time.
