Just a quick heads up for those considering a Cabela's CGR or Prime fly rod that they are on sale online and in stores through March 11th, 2015.
For those wondering, the one piece Prime series fly rods have a very similar flex and taper to the CGR series and takes advantage of the benefits of a one piece fly rod.
I have both the Prime 6' three weight and 7'3" five weight and these are fun fly rods. The five weight (with fighting butt) is likely going to be my go to kayak stick this summer and works well with a six weight fly line too.
The CGR and Prime fly rods are a great value and if you have wondered what this glass game is all about, this is a perfect way to try it out.

I picked up a CGR 5/6 during their holiday sale. Haven't had a chance to cast it yet, but the build quality is excellent for a sub-$100 rod. I'm tempted to buy another to give to a potential fiberglass convert.
