C. Barclay Fly Rod Co. - Casting For Recovery Ijuin-Rod Sakura

Though the auction has ended for this C. Barclay Fly Rod Co. built Ijuin- Rod Sakura fly rod, it was a good example of fly shops and a fly rod builder doing something really good for Casting For Recovery.  I also know that Chris has built at least one similar Sakura fly rod and can do others if there is interest in this special pink blank four weight.

Chris wrote...  "A while back I was contacted by my friends at the Driftless Angler and Athena Artemis Women's Fly Shop asking me to build a rod for a Casting For Recovery fund raising auction.  I knew exactly the blank to use and jumped at the opportunity.  Tomo's Sakura 7'6" four weight blank is perfect for this worthy cause.  This is an amazing casting rod and one that anyone can enjoy.  Tomo is a master at rod design and he excelled this time, as usual.

This custom built fly rod was just one part of an auction that raised almost $1,000 for Casting For Recovery and the winning bidder received a guide trip from the Driftless Angler Fly Shop, two nights lodging, gourmet dinner at The Driftless Cafe, and this fly rod outfit which included a Lamson Guru 1.5 fly reel and Rio Gold CFR pink fly line."
