MERRY CHRISTMAS

I am going to turn the lights on low around here for a couple of days and spend the the time with my family.  It's been a crazy December and I am looking forward to a  few days of down time.  We are already busy in the kitchen this morning and the smoker is rolling at 225 degrees with a few racks of beef ribs for later this afternoon.  Not a bad way to spark off the holiday weekend.

One of the benefits of living on family land is that I'll likely put more miles on our golf cart than our vehicles over the next four days going to different Christmas gatherings.  It's going to be pushing 80 degrees through the weekend so you can bet I'll be in shorts and may even get out on the pond in the kayak.  The pickerel should be on the bite and maybe a largemouth won't remember it's December.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas holiday with family and friends.  Enjoy the next few days together and hopefully, if you've been good, there will be a fly fishing gift or two under the tree.

Merry Christmas.  Cheers...

Postscript...  For those that have emailed and the others who haven't wondering where the "12 Days of Christmas" went this year, well the short answer is that it's been to crazy to do it right.  Look for "12 Days of Winter", or whatever it will be called, to likely start late next month.
