LEIDERMAN RODS - A Ijuin Yomogi Masterpiece

Decades from now anglers will look back at the work of Matt Leiderman of Leiderman Rods and realize then what we already know now, he creates unbelievably flawless custom fiberglass fly rod builds.  The level of expertise in his metal work is both creative and shows his talent.  No two builds are alike and he has an ability to make each of his many hundreds of builds look unique.

Matt recently finished this 7'3" three weight Ijuin Yomogi blank build which shows his newfound talent in lathing stacked bamboo reel seats and the rest of the build just flows together.

Unlike many of his bespoke builds, this one is for sale.  Visit the Leiderman Rods website for more information and be sure to follow along on Facebook and Instagram for the latest shop news.

Are Ijuin Yomogi blanks rolled by hand or grown in some majic garden? Illuminating work by Leiderman Rods... Bill

Bill... My vote is on some magic garden. Have you cast one before? Such a great taper.

HI Cameron Unfortunately I do not get the chance to try many fly rods.I live in a fly fishing vacuum and have to travel considerable distance to see fly gear of any kind.I tried to make it to MICHI-GLASS 2 years ago.5 hrs into what would have been a 12 hr trip,my travel and blank budget was blown on car repairs and beer. Thanks again "Eddy" of "EDS RAD REPAIR" in Iron River WI. I once drove 9 hrs through a March blizzard, hoping to see a Kabuto or an Epic at the Blaine MN Fly Show. The only glass there was a redington butter stick...? I own 3 CGR's and a vintage ST CROIX TRANSA-GLASS. After casting and fishing glass for several years now,I have become hopelessly addicted to " THE RAPTURE OF THE DEEP"... Bill "MICHI-GLASS 2018!"
