Kiichiro's Custom Finish Kabuto Build

Japanese fly rod builder, Yasuyuki Kabuto, was urged by Kiichiro Emoto to develop a darker transparent blank color for a build that Yasuyuki was completing for him. The results of his work and Kiichiro's photography are similarly stunning.

Please visit Kabuto Rods to see more of his rod work and also Kiichiro Emoto's blog to see more of his photography.

Kiichiro has great taste in fly rods...both are just stunning but I have to say I like the newer one a little bit better. Pure class.

The new color is sick. Both colors are really sick, actually. Impressive is an understatement.

You could make a convert out of me. They still sell those Eagle Claw featherlights at Jay's for $25...must resist the fiberglass side.
