Gear Envy - BOTE Boards

Over the past several years as a family we've more or less geeked out about kayaks and our latest obsession has been looking at the lighter weight paddleboards. It's said that you can never have enough fly rods and I'm finding it kind of rings true for kayaks and paddleboards as well. My wife doesn't totally understand the need for more fly rods but she has strongly hinted more than once that she wants a sub thirty pound paddleboard.

Lately I am seeing a lot online about the BOTE Board paddleboards and found this video on their website to be really helpful in explaining each of their offerings.


Our daughter Hadley has been talking about participating in some of the local paddleboard races next year and the BOTE Monster is topping out her Christmas list. I'm looking hard at the BOTE HD as a way for me to keep up with her on the water and to fly fish off of on our pond and down in the Lowcountry skinny water too.
