Redington Launches New Website

This past fall at IFTD it was clearly evident that there was a new ethos brewing at Redington with their entire focus, product line, and approach.   Redington had a very impressive booth area staffed with their brightest P.R. peeps and I figured that 2011 would be an interesting year for them as a company.

This past week the new Redington website launched and I've spent a bit of time going through it page by page.  It's well designed and very easy to navigate to kick the tires.

The 2011 product line up looks sharp with reasonable price points though they are sans a fiberglass fly rod.  Darn.

The highlight for me is the New To Fly? section of the website which offers pages of instruction, videos, tips, illustrations, and other resources for new anglers.

Neat to see a gear company not forget that fly fishing is all about fun and then also have a product line full of reasonably priced options for getting more anglers into the sport as well.

The new website, being active in the social media like Facebook, and solid products at consumer friendly pricepoints - Seems like these guys "get" it, which is refreshing.

And no, I don't work for them, just a happy user of a CT rod - which is probably as close to glass as they get :)

Yeah just bought a rod and reel from them and I am very impressed. The reel is the rise series in burnt orange. Very nice reel functionally and aesthestically. I have been checking out the new waders as week as their technical clothing as well. Good stuff.
