Red Devil On The Fly

I always get a kick about seeing the weird and unusual fish which are caught on the fly...and even better if it's caught on a fiberglass fly rod as well.

Sometime back Craig Sako in Hawaii sent along this image of a Red Devil which was caught out of a local lake.  Red Devils are a member of the cichlid family and distant cousins to bluegill and tucunare.

Craig was fishing a vintage Scott Fly Rods brown glass 7' four weight five piece fly rod which I'm sure is perfect for sight fishing for these funky non natives.
