Leiderman Rods Morgan Five Weight

Matt Leiderman of Leiderman Rods has been busy lately working on a few builds, one of which is my own which is built on the 7'6" five weight Tom Morgan Rodsmiths fiberglass blank.

I thought long and hard who I wanted to finish out this very special blank and grateful that Matt was able to fit my build into his schedule this year.  I couldn't be happier with how this custom build turned out.  Hopefully it will arrive in the mail in the next day or two.

I have an interest in short five weights since this traditional length and line weight is rarely made anymore and can be quite useful on small to medium sized streams where larger flies and over-sized trout swim.

Check out the Leiderman Rods website for more examples of his fine work.  Matt is not keeping up with the blog on his website and is instead posting his latest builds and shop news on the Leiderman Rods Facebook page.

Nice looking rod. Still trying to decide between the 7' 4 weight and the 8' 5 weight...maybe a matched set is in order?

Nick...if you can swing two then I would. This little five weight of mine is perfection.
