T.F.M. Spotting - Old School In NZED

Today's T.F.M. Spotting Photo Contest entry comes from Wayne Smith of Smith Creek and a North Island rainbow trout that was caught on an old school Fenwick fly rod.  Looks like a grand time was had.

Spotting photo from last weekend.  I was actually field testing new gear, but as you can see it has it rewards.  I was having a ball fishing my forty year old Fenwick 7 1/2 ft rod six weight combination rod.  I had to work to cast forty feet, but it was an absolute ball playing fish on!  The little bow in the photo though it was a Marlin!  Great fun and one out of four great days on central North Island rivers."

Small bow?  I'd sure like to catch a few of those.
