Graywolf Rods - Ijuin-Rod Three Weight

Shane Gray of Graywolf Rods recently finished a Ijuin seven foot three weight that is unique for several reasons.  First, Shane took the white blank that was sent from Ijuin-Rod in Japan and dyed the blank this rich yellow color.  Next, he then built a very sharp rattan grip to match this build and the end results are quite striking.

Shane wrote...  "The rod is wrapped in silk then varnished clear, I added a small amount of tipping at the cork check and end of female ferrules. The rod features custom Lemke made nickle silver pocket cap and slide band hardware that I blued to match the snake brand guides, blued cork check and blued mildrum stripping guide. I turned a very comfortable slim cigar grip from 1/4 inch flor grade cork rings. The rod is a 7ft 3wt 3pc model, full flex, slow action and just plan fun."

This is a somewhat rare fly rod that is for sale and Graywolf Rods is offering this gem for $550 with free worldwide shipping.  This could still make it under the tree in time for Christmas for one lucky angler.
