Orvis Glass In NZED

This past year as the final taper designs were being ironed out with the Orvis Superfine Glass fly rod, a few prototypes were made and Dave Jensen of Fly Fish Ablerta took the 7'6" four weight to New Zealand for some big trout on dry fly testing. Damn this looks fun.

There is a reason that the Superfine Glass fly rods have been tough for Orvis to keep in stock and many anglers are finding them to be quite a lot of fly rod for the money.  As Dave did in this video, I wouldn't be afraid to jump up a fly line weight if needed.  The progressive taper of these glass rods can certainly handle it.
