Gear Review - Smith Creek Middle Fork Fly Patch

A few months ago a small box arrived which contained all of the products that Smith Creek had just released and among them was the Middle Fork Fly Patch.  This small foam fly patch came with both a high quality zinger and attachment cable.  Since I'm not much for zingers, I opted to use the cable to attach the fly patch to my lanyard with nippers and hemostats.  It's a simple setup but really perfection for having everything I need on the lanyard together.

The Middle Fork Fly Patch is a great size with enough surface area to stash more than enough flies for the day on both sides of the dense micro slit foam or start the day with it clean and add wet flies to dry while you're on the water.  The Middle Fork Fly Patch is lightweight and the build quality is excellent. This small accessory has quickly become an essential and is perfect for a lanyard, vest, or pack.

If you are looking for an alternative for carrying a fly box on the water or just want to keep go to flies handy, order up a Middle Fork Fly Patch.  You might find that you need a couple.

Check out the Smith Creek website for more information, purchase through the website, or find your local dealer.
