6 Cool Things To Read

I am wrapping up a few loose ends at work and home before taking off to Michigan for ten days away to Beaver Island and then to my family's lake house for the July 4th holiday.  I am looking forward to returning home again.

Here's six solid articles to keep you busy while I get some things done around here.

CHI WULFF - THE GEAR SPREAD
Jess McGlothlin breaks down the gear that she takes on photography assignments around the world for Orvis and free lance projects.  It's always interesting how other travelers travel.

I'm starting to think that I need a large duffel with wheels to get around airports easier.

GINK & GASOLINE - BAHAMAS OVER?
There are several articles online right now regarding proposed changes to the Bahamas regarding lodge ownership, guides, and even making it illegal to DIY fly fishing trip there.

Read this article and click through the links at the end of it to send a couple emails to voice your concerns.

OUTSIDE MAGAZINE - #FLYFISHINGSAVESLIVES
Chad Brown of Soul River is a positive force within fly fishing and this article does a great job highlighting how it has literally saved his life as well.

S.C.O.F. - MORE PROOF FOR #KEEPEMWET
Grip and grin?  Clearly not everyone can do it right...

STALKING THE SEAM - STAY CLOSE TO HOME
The friends at Stalking The Seam do A LOT with their kids outside and this short article is a good reminder that not every worthwhile trip has to be far flung.

THIRD COAST FLY - OF CRAYFISH AND MIRRORS
The fellows of Indigo Guide Service posted this dispatch on Beaver Island and how the forage has switched up a bit from gobies to crayfish and where did the mirror carp show up from this summer?

Enjoy.
