DIAMONDBACK ROD COMPANY - Pre-Order A Meeker Now

I've said it several times already (HERE and elsewhere) but the biggest surprise for me from this past summer's IFTD show was coming around the corner to see Nate Dablock standing front and center at the Diamondback Rod Company booth.  This company has been in different states of transition for years now and after talking with Nate several times since IFTD, he has a solid vision for his company and where it wants it to go.  A couple of the fly rod series have very unique looks and Nate is making sure that everyone knows that the Diamondback Rod Company is going a new and different direction.

The Diamondback Rod Company website recently went live and pre-orders are now being taken for all rods (with pre-orders shipping on 12/7/2015), including the fiberglass offering in the Meeker series.  There are four fly rods in the Meeker series from two weight to four weight and the tapers were chosen to replicate the feel and performance of Diamondback Glass fly rods of yesteryear but with an updated look with new badging, deep red wraps and trim, mirror gloss E-Glass blank, and each fly rod will come in a sharp looking black fiberglass rod tube.  The Meeker series is priced at $295 each which I think is more than fair for everything that has been put into these fly rods.

From the Diamondback Rod Company website...

"Looking for the calm solitude of a small stream, maybe the challenge of that confined location with thick cover or just the soft and forgiving casting stroke and sensitivity that you have been missing? The Diamondback Meeker is the perfect rod to bring balance to your soul. Constructed from super strong E-glass prepreg and designed with tapers that create a crisp soft action and smooth recovery. The slow actions of the Meeker allow for the most delicate presentations and ultimate sensitivity when targeting a variety of species. Supple and accurate for the perfect dry fly presentation yet with enough backbone to cast small wet flies and nymphs."

Visit the Diamondback Rod Company website for more information and to place your order.  All pre-orders will be shipped on December 7, 2015 so delivery for a gift under the Christmas tree should be no problem at all.
