UPDATE - Live The Stream is now available worldwide. Check this T.F.M. post for the update.
I am just minutes into the screener of Live the Stream: The Story of Joe Humphreys and this film confirms what I've thought for a few years now and that is there are quite a few iconic figures in fly fishing that deserve a film of their life like this. The articles you've read, the books that they have written, the presentations that they have given are just a glimpse into their lives. There is so much more that has been built them into the person they are and what they have to share.
Over his life, Joe Humphreys was and still is a character, a teacher, a father, a husband, a conservationist, an angler and in his late 80's, his life story is something to enjoy. It's no surprise that Live the Stream took home 'Movie of the Year' and 'Best Story' awards at the recent The Drake Flyfishing Video Awards in Denver a few weeks ago and where too many fly fishing films are about the fish, this film is focused on someone who has given his life to fly fishing.
Today is the last day to pre-order Live the Stream through iTunes and beginning tomorrow the film will be available to watch through iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Vimeo and soon to DVD and Blu-Ray.
Visit the Live the Stream website for more information and Lucas and Meigan Bell of Nomadic should be proud of their effort with this film. This is one helluva story that has been beautifully and thoughtfully captured and it's certainly been worth the wait.
