A few months ago, Markus Haldin of Haldin Fly Rods and I started going back and forth through email about his exciting line up of blanks and finished fly rods. You can revisit the T.F.M. post which is a deep dive into all of this. Before it was over, I was on his future build list with a Haldin 78 in Island Paradise on order. I have a real soft spot for heavier line weight fly rods and this seems like the perfect light saltwater stick which will likely see it's fair share of warmwater use as well.
