RAKART - Limited Edition Humpy Print to Help the Keene Family

Over the past several months, the coronavirus pandemic has affected us all in many ways and on many different levels.  The Keene family, however, has experienced a series of unexpected happenings and Ryan Keene of RAKArt is asking for a hand from the greater fly fishing community.

There are a few different ways that you can help and this limited edition Humpy print is a good way to start if you can. You should feel good about purchasing art and this print is filled with a special kind of karma that will directly help a family in immediate need.

Ryan wrote...  "As many of you may know, my family has been hit pretty hard in the last few months. Beyond the loss of work due to Covid-19, we have been confronted with some pretty serious challenges, so I am reaching out for the support of friends, family, and this remarkably supportive community.

On July 14th, our daughter had a tonic-clonic seizure (grand mal) and subsequent testing revealed some abnormalities that we must continue to look into. She has been diagnosed with epilepsy, put on anti-seizure medication, and referred to an amazing team at CHP.

Here's where you come in...

We brought our vehicle in for inspection shortly before this incident. To our surprise, it required a lot of work that our warranty did not cover. Getting our car back ASAP is imperative. Poor Tellie has already gone back to the ER for an allergic reaction to the medication via ambulance. We are so grateful for the help of our family who has provided additional transportation but it would be ideal to have a reliable vehicle at a moment's notice. The total will be somewhere between $5,000-$6,000 depending on what the warranty covers.

Additionally, we ordered an FDA approved watch that detects most grand mal seizures, records data for review, and alerts caregivers. We also must get Tellie a compatible phone and sturdy phone case. There are a few more expenses such as a larger bed and wall-mounted lamp, for her safety.

If you are able to donate or are interested in buying my art in support, please visit www.rakart.net . I will be offering this seahorse, a symbol of epilepsy awareness, as a thank-you gift in both a smaller sized open print run and a larger limited edition print (11x17), as well as some other thank you gifts and art that I have not offered for sale until now. Of course, any donations you are able to offer will be appreciated and there is a simple and secure way to chip in small amounts, too. Please consider sharing this as every little bit helps. Check out the site for details and thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Please take a moment to visit the RAKArt website and consider purchasing one of the new Humpy limited edition prints or other artwork on the site.  As of last night, there were twenty Humpy prints left from the original printing of twenty-five.

A Venmo donation can be made @ryan-keene-4 if you'd just like to help.
