KABUTO RODS - The 2023 Limited Edition Fly Rods

A fly rod builder that likely isn't talked about enough is Yasuyuki Kabuto of Kabuto Rods as his fly rod tapers are top notch and his builds are flawless.  I cherish each of the Kabuto Rods that I have in my collection from Yasuyuki and other builders. 

 

Something that Yasuyuki has done for the past several years is create a Limited Edition offering and for the coming year, he is offering both a bamboo and fiberglass option that are worth considering.

 

From the Kabuto Rods social media posting...

"We are now accepting orders for 2023 Limited Edition fly rods.

There are two types 2023 models, 733L (7’3” 3-weight 2-piece/2-tip) bamboo and 733L (7’3” 3-weight 3-piece) fiberglass.

Both models are designed for delicate dry fly fishing in small stream such as Japanese Yamame, brook trout, and other small trout.

These models can handle more longer tippet than our regular models by its rod action.

The bamboo offering is limited to 5 orders and the fiberglass rod is limited to 10 orders.

The first delivery will be February - April 2023."
