I've been remiss to not pass along already that after a lot of work (and waiting to get stateside) that there are three new Diesel Glass fly rod models now offered by Red Truck Fly Fishing.
T.F.M. readers should already know that I'm a big fan of both the 7'6" 4-weight and 7'10" 5-weight and stoked to see a pack ready 6'9" 3-weight along with 8'3" 6-weight and 8'9" 8-weight to round out the Diesel Glass family.
You're likely to notice that both the 6-weight and 8-weight are offered in a dark red instead of the yellow of the rest of the series. I like the distinction of the heavier line weight glass rods in the series with their own colorway. I had a chance to mess around with the 8-weight and it's sweet.
James Park of Red Truck Fly Fishing and I are working on an affiliate relationship but in the meantime, if you're interested in purchasing any of the Diesel Glass Fly Rods you can go direct on the website or send me an email and I can arrange the order. Doing it that way helps keep the lights on around here.

Being an owner of a 7'6" Orvis Superfine Glass 4-weight and a 6'6" Redington Butterstick 2-weight, I'd be interested in learning more about the action / feel of the Red Truck 3-weight glass rod, Cameron.

Hey Mark!
Im no Cam but having casted the superfine glass and owning the 369-4 Redtruck as well as the 476-3 from RT, I would say that the 3wt is a bit less whippy and a bit more progressive in that it bends deeper when casting. It is still an S glass blank as compared to the E glass on the red truck 4wt though. With that progressive action I found it super forgiving line wise moving up or down depending a wt depending on casting stroke. On my last trip it did great throwing small dries up to large dry dropper rigs and some weighted micro-buggers. Fit and finish is SUPERB and it packs beautifully into my backpacking pack.
