In the latest Tom Morgan Rodsmiths newsletter, the 2023 Bamboo Rod Building Classes were mentioned and perked my interest as I've been thinking more and more about cane fly rods lately. I know that I'm the "Glass Geek" but bamboo sure seems like a fitting extension that bender. The opportunity to build a bamboo fly rod in the TMR shop would sure to elevate the entire experience.
The Bamboo Rod Building Classes are offered on a Wednesday through Tuesday schedule which allows for several days of building, the weekend to go fly fishing, and then two more days in the shop to complete your fly rod. The class is priced at $2,300 which seems fair for all that's included.

March 1st - 7th
April 12th - 18th
May 3rd - 9th
June 7th - 13th
July 12th - 18th
August 16th - 22nd
September 13th - 19th
