We all watched as Hurricane Ian blew through Florida and left a swath of destruction in it's path. There are a lot of people, some of them our friends in the fly fishing and outdoors community, whose lives have been changed forever. It's time for them to rebuild, move forward, and they could sure use our help.
It didn't take too long before fly tier and all around good guy Josh Mills kicked off #fliesforian. If the "Flies for" theme sounds familiar, it is. Over the past several years, Josh's fundraisers have raised over $400,000 for those in need and #fliesforian is already approaching $50,000 with everyone from fly tiers to companies within the fly fishing industry stepping up.
The donations from these online auctions are going to Captains for Clean Water Hurricane Ian Relief or the IGFA's Worldwide Anglers Relief Fund (WARF).
Take a few minutes today and scroll through the many auctions on Instagram by searching #fliesforian. There's likely a few that will catch your eye and the support will be GREATLY appreciated.
